July/August Session has Concluded.
Next Session begins Monday, September 10

On Friday, August 31, we concluded the 7 Week July/August Session. The September/October Session will begin on Monday, September 10.  Our Level 1 classes learned a fun routine to Natalie Cole’s “Straighten Up and Fly Right.” Level 2.3 worked on Single, Double, Triple, and Quadruple Waltz Clogs and a new routine to Billy Joel’s “Piano Man.” And if you’d like to see the routine that Tap Level 3 worked on, click below:

Our next session will begin on Monday, September 10. If you’d like to register for a class, you can do so online, over the phone, or in person. If you are registering over the phone or in person, please be aware that our business hours have been modified the week of September 3, since there are no classes that week.

Closed Labor Day

We will be closed on Monday, September 3 in observation of Labor Day. Enjoy your holiday!

Miller and Ben Shoe Update

We met the 10 pair minimum and were able to place our shoe order by the deadline. If you ordered custom shoes, we should receive them by the end of October. If you ordered standard shoes (or needed a fitting pair to confirm your size), we anticipate that we should receive them in the next 2-3 weeks.

We will be placing a supplemental order on October 1st. If you missed ordering your shoes, you can place an order with Mary by September 30 and you will still receive the group discount. If you order custom shoes, they will not be delivered until December. Please see Mary if you have any questions.

Save the Date for our 5th Annual Fitness Frenzy:
Sunday September 23

On the morning of Sunday, September 23, we will be hosting our 5th Annual Fitness Frenzy benefiting Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks. Arizona Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks is a camp for children who have or have had cancer, their siblings, and their families. All of their programs are offered free of charge and are run by volunteers.

Wall-2-Wall Dance Center holds the Fitness Frenzy event each year in September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This event is held in memory of Carolyn Vosseller, a tap dance student of Mary’s who was a long-time volunteer at the camp. She lost her own battle with cancer in 2013. The event will feature several fitness classes and we ask attendees to donate a minimum of $10 per class. 100% of the proceeds are donated to the charity.

We will be releasing more information about this event as it becomes available.

Teacher Training

Are you interested in teaching tap dance classes at Wall-2-Wall Dance Center? We are going to be offering Teacher Training very soon for people who are interested in teaching our Never-2-Late classes. If you are a Tap Level 3 student and attend classes regularly at the studio, you will qualify for this teacher training. Once training is complete, you can then be added to the schedule to teach our Never-2-Late classes.

If you are qualified and interested, please email Mary and let her know. She will then follow up with you regarding training classes and schedules as well as student teaching opportunities.
